. . . of orders, this is the first time I’ve had a chance to bask in the excitement & wonder of the holiday season. Namely the thrill of Santa’s imminent arrival – first year that Sneaky really gets it. Oh, and playing catch up on the mountains of laundry!! Yep, I owe the blog a longer Christmas order catch-up but that’ll have to wait as Garfield’s Christmas is a calling! 😉

So remember when I blogged about weird reborn dreams. Yeah? Well, I’ve had another. Two actually. And I’ve deemed now that not only is reborning an unusual art form, but it leads reborners to have very unusual dreams too (0r maybe it’s just me).
This one was awesome! I got free mohair! A TON OF IT! But here’s the thing, it was rooted into my scalp. Uh, yup! So I am bald, and then a few hours later I have this incredible, waist length, dark brown mohair on my head. And I’m all “OMG this is amazing! I’m going to cut it off my head immediately and use it to root babies!” As though this happening was on par with winning the reborn lottery.
The weight of the hair was something else. So heavy. And as I was walking to get my scissors, I kept thinking what if it started to pull out of my head. My scalp wasn’t used to such heavy hair. I have really fine hair, enough to root, I dunno, 4 doll heads. And this stuff was so thick. I mean, seriously, the amount of hair cut off me, would be enough to root like 25 or something. So I was seriously freaked out. And then I thought to myself. Wait, how did this hair get rooted into me to start with. Didn’t that hurt? How did my skull plate actually allow the hair to be poked through my skin?
See? Fricken bizarre!
The second dream was much more tame. I was wandering around a mall stumbling upon unknown baby clothing stores – treasure troves full of amazing finds! And then being unable to find the store again on a second walk through.
I’m now convinced one of the largest suckers of my time (& something I’ve grown to love & be quite obsessive about) is shopping for the reborns! LOL! I spend a large portion of my week hunting for outfits, online, in retail outlets, thinking about outfits, matching pacifiers, hats, blankets. I’m constantly hoping to discover a new shop to buy from. In my hunt for perfect outfits outside of the usual staples of Carters & JoeFresh (my crack!)
My newest conscious find is Mexx.ca. Oh and gymboree (which I never shopped at before). Always a plus when they deliver free and have stuff on clearance! 😉
My OOAK Patrik Blick went up in my shop! FINALLY! And yes, he’s named! Doesn’t Zane Preston suit him?
Custom order Freya Kewy, a combi boy, had his photoshoot & headed home (just in the knick of time for Xmas! :D)
And so did my custom combi baby Jade, by Romie Strydom. An adorable 3 mos old baby girl! Don’t you adore that smirk? 
Got my Finn by Tina Kewy! Finally! I am so so sooo in love with him! Can’t wait to reborn him soon!

My Custom order Gemma & Cozy siblings (going to identical twins for Xmas) went home this week! I’ll miss their perfectly microrooted heads. Did I mention I’m in loooove with Slumberland mohair? Well, I am.

OOAK baby Patrik got his mottle on & hair started. He’s def a boy, and likely a Preston, or Zane, or Brock or Jaxon. Votes & name suggestions welcome! (Yes, I adore him!)
Baby Stella (my Bountiful baby contest entry) got a new onesie and hair bow. She’s ready to head home this week! Eep! Can’t wait for her Momma to FINALLY get her.
Custom order Julietta got her hair too! Some more painting left to do, but she’s nearly there and I adore her too! Blick babies are amazing!
And Lola finally started getting her hair! My shoulder is feeling heaps better. That and I do smaller sections daily & immediately ice afterward. I’m directionally rooting her entire head, and even though it feels ambitious, it’s turning out so so well. I cannot wait to give her a proper cut and send her home too!

I had my first vivid reborning dream the other day. A def nod to my unconscious loathing of gluing earth magnets.
I totally get as close to hazmat suit as I can, gluing those things in. I take the e6000 warnings waaaay too literally (I suspect). I have gloves. A mask. I glue in the garage, with the door open. And I officially stop breathing. LOL! Yes, I’m a tiny bit of a health nut (read: hypochondriac to the extreme). 😀

Which makes this dream all the more strange.
I was working around my dining room table. I had three babies. And six magnets. I was strategically placing them at different portions of table, lying magnets apart (as I so often do) but these strong muthas were flying together from unbelievable distances. I just couldn’t find a distance far enough (yet close enough for their needed heads) to keep them apart. It seemed completely believable, that they should be able to fly together from two metres away.
And then they started flying toward boxes. Most which were taped shut. I was all WTF is in these boxes again? Piles of boxes. And when I ripped into them (thinking I’d discovered a stash of earth magnets I ordered & forgotten about) I found babies. All the babies I’d already mailed out to their Mommas. Just hanging out on my table. And I was freaking out about how the post office returned them to me! LOL!
Finally giving this whole Youtube channel thing a shot! Put up a few WIP videos & here’s the one for this week! Baby Sofia/Willow/Bean is official en route home now & the twins are now in their bodies!

First off! HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my fellow Americans! I’m running a Black Friday sale until midnight tomorrow on all my existing babies (sure to arrive in time for Xmas). Just 3 babies left, ahem, make that 2 babies left! YAY! My OOAK Jordi girl & OOAK boy Coco-Malu. Both Elisa Marx sculpts. And I can totally swap their genders if you want! Check ’em out Here! 😀
Now onto everything else.
Yes, I’m still chipping away at my list of custom order babies! I am so close. Just two more to go! 2! Most are either now in transit, or already home! Amazing! This was a big list. So I am so so happy to be so close now. & yes, I’m still taking custom orders! Depending on the sculpt & customizations, no guarantee they’ll be ready before Xmas now, but I’m still trying! 😉 & a lot of these babies were full root, and well, just when I finally felt in control of my rooting (& not the other way around) nature through a wrench into my. . . SHOULDER.
I was in physio for most of July, because my spine didn’t appreciate the switch to rooting (& possibly painting again, with a literal brush). I thought it was torticollis, cuz I get that. I get a lot of awesomely fun back issues thanks to my Scoliosis ‘S’ curve. Esp post two pregnancies that did a number on my flexibility & back strength. :p I kinda look like this. But mine twists around like one of these slides!
Needless to say, after a jaunt to the ER, I was hooked up with some codeine (have I mentioned how much I hate codeine? That stuff kicks my ass!) & some muscle relaxants. & physio. I was briefly worried that I might have to stop offering full root babies. BUT, I got my system down. I took breaks. No more trying to root a full head in 2 days (ambitious goals are, evidently, no friend to my spinal column). I invested in better lighting, found a better chair, and a better pillow to root on. And I iced at the first hint of a trouble. Until I stopped. . .
All it took was trying to do too much, at once. On the heels of rooting nearly every day for the last 4 weeks (that’s four full roots – yo!) In a slightly different position. & whammo! Lock up city! That was Monday. Like I said, I hate codeine. So I took it as minimally as possible (& suffered through the woozies.) & finished up the head I’ve been rooting – my custom Gemma, as fast as I could safely manage.
I finished her last night. And now I have just one head left. But I have about 2 weeks to do her, so I’m going to allot myself a few days more of healing before I start again. It’s for a custom Lola I’m working on.
And in the interim, I have a few heads of painted hair to paint, & a new OOAK baby I hope to unveil soon. Thanks to the 2nd ever OOAK match-up! It came down to these two! Can you guess who won?
Oh & the coolest thing ever! I met a fellow reborner really close by. There is a long story behind that, so I’m leaving it for another entry. But she has a baby too she’s hoping to sell. One I helped paint & root. (it was my first combi-for-hire!) He’s on kijiji & Youtube! Check him out! Isn’t he so so cute?

Oh my goodness! I have been away most of the summer and I just got back home. I was too excited to do a box opening and pose these gorgeous babies. I have to say Shaylen Maxwell, you out did yourself. I love, love, love my babies!!!!! Everything about them is perfect! I am going to get back to work making my own babies while these two give me much inspiration. Thank you so much!
