I love love LOVE art studios and I have fantasies about the house we eventually own, complete with a functional art studio with ample amounts of natural light, and levels for painting, assembling, photographing. A girl can dream!

I figured now would be a good time to post about some of my fave reborn essentials. I started out with the staples. And then extras. And now my tried and true faves! So here goes:
My convection oven. Self explanatory. Can’t live without it.
The first is this paint! Premixed Strawberry Blush.
I was totally totally against pre-mixes, but I’ve seen the light. I cannot live without this! It has taken my lips to a whole new level. I can spot a pre-mixed strawberry blushed baby by its lips. And the creases too! Literally cannot live without it. It’s my crack. And I am completely cool with dropping $20 a jar! Completely!
And the genesis heat set gloss medium, which only further amazes me on the lids & lips!
Precious Little Baby Dust Dewy Skin Medium.
I LOVE the stuff. So perfect on a milia speckled nose. Also worth every cent.
My rooting needles (42 gauge, 3 barb & 6 barbs – but mostly the 3 barbs).
& Slumberland mohair. THE BEST MOHAIR EVER! I love love love the feel of it. It’s exquisite! Totally made me a fully rooted reborn fanatic! 😀

As I’ve been saying, I’ve become quite obsessed with rooting! It’s funny how that happened. Now I can’t stop fawning over an exquisite root job (& trying to recreate it!)
Oh, swoon!
I vowed after putting down the deposit on Finn by Tina Kewy (how could I resist? Have you seen him? He’s precious!!!) that I’d stop snatching up new sculpts!
BUT then I saw her!
Lilian by Gudrun Legler! O-M-G! Looks like a perfect mix between Nico & Linus. And lord knows how much I love those two sculpts! So now I’m eagerly awaiting Friday! Just hoping I manage to snag one. (I totally missed out on Livia because she sold out SO fast!)

Remember when I started out and vowed how rooting was my Everest. It took about 6 heads, before I got down my technique. Which chair to sit in, how to hold my rooting pillow, the importance of really really awesome table lighting. Appropriate needles (42 gauge 3 barb & 6 barbs). Best mohair (slumberland all the way!) & then I just started to crave it. The patience, the meditative quality, the Netflix catch up I got to play.
And then I rooted a custom Nico, and my love went over the deep end.
(Likely also because Nico still remains my FAVE sculpt). Now I’m constantly thinking about rooting. Excited to get back to the next. Lusting over existing hair patterns, and daydream-rooting how I can recreate them. And awesomely, I’ve gotten a lot of custom root orders this holiday season. So plenty of time to work toward my goals.
Currently rooting my fave Bountiful Sculpt (still, yes). Cozy.

Oh my goodness! I have been away most of the summer and I just got back home. I was too excited to do a box opening and pose these gorgeous babies. I have to say Shaylen Maxwell, you out did yourself. I love, love, love my babies!!!!! Everything about them is perfect! I am going to get back to work making my own babies while these two give me much inspiration. Thank you so much!
